PhD student Maria Fernandes visits mEpiLab
Maria is a PhD student from Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Portugal), working on Leptospirosis in rodents and environmental samples (soils and freshwater collections). Her one month visit was part of a short internship related with her PhD aiming the optimization of a real-time PCR for the detection of Leptospirosis in kidneys, blood and serum of cattle. During her visit, Maria also had the opportunity to present the research she has been involved in Portugal.
