Environmental and animal contact implicated in Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli infections in humans

A new publication by IDReC postgraduate researcher Patricia Jaros and co-authors is now available online at BMC Infectious Diseases.

The authors concluded “Our findings implicate environmental and animal contact, but not food, as significant exposure pathways for sporadic STEC infections in humans in New Zealand”. To read the article click here
